Bow Fronted Vitrine With Gilt Scrollwork & Romantic Genre Scene
Here we have a beautiful example of a French-style gilt metal mounted mahogany and Vernis Martin Bow Fronted Vitrine. With a moulded top above a part glazed cupboard door with a romantic genre scene painted to the panel beneath.
There are two fixed glass shelves to the mirror-backed interior, flanked by conforming sides and raised on short, square cabriole support. The whole outline has foliate scrollwork and is mounted with musical trophies, scrollwork, and female mask-capped floral pendants.
